An Organ Cancer Centre is a centre specializing in one organ or specialty. They make up the broad basis to cover cancer care for prevalent tumour entities, such as breast or colorectal cancer.
The certification of Organ Cancer Centres started in Germany in 2003 initially with Breast Cancer Centres. Subsequently other organ specific centres followed. The corresponding Catalogues of Requirements and Data Sheets can be downloaded below.
Moreover, in order to determine the cancer risks organ-specific checklists are available for download.
